The Romanian Association of Integrative Psychotherapy (ARPI) is a professional organization providing training in integrative psychotherapy.

ARPl is the first integrative psychotherapy school in Romania, accredited nationally by the Romanian College of Psychologists and at the European level by the European Association of Integrative Psychotherapy (EAIP).

ARPI’s Vision

By promoting a holistic approach to integrative relational therapy, our training programs offer a framework in which psychologists and professionals from related fields have access to self-awareness, personal and professional development programs. This equips them, upon becoming practitioners in the psychotherapeutic process, to implement the specific principles of the vision in which they specialize.

ARPI aims for professionals in our community to be professionally prepared so that each client receiving psychotherapy can be understood in their uniqueness, taking into account the integration of all human aspects – psychological, affective, cognitive, contextual, and behavioral – within a relational framework specific to integrative psychotherapy.

ARPI’s Mission

The mission of ARPI is to promote the practice of integrative psychotherapy through high-quality professional training, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

ARPI aims to train nationally accredited and European-recognized integrative psychotherapists capable of implementing a specific relational model and practicing integrative psychotherapy within a humanistic framework adapted to modern theories in psychology and neuroscience, in accordance with the highest ethical and professional standards.

Over the years, ARPI has trained over 2000 nationally and European-accredited psychotherapists.

ARPI’s Objectives

ARPI aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • To promote and implement integrative psychotherapy through psychoeducation at the social level and qualitative research at the professional level.
  • To provide training programs for psychotherapists that enable them to integrate the specific theoretical relational model and apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
  • To ensure for members of the professional community the maintenance of a high level of competence through nationally and internationally recognized evaluations and certifications.
  • To contribute to the well-being of society by facilitating access to quality psychotherapy services and by promoting the rights and dignity of clients.
  • To promote integrative psychotherapy in the social environment through our own television program on a national television channel.
ARPI’s Values

The values of ARPI consist of:

  • Self-awareness and Introspection: We promote the necessity of a reflexive approach in psychotherapeutic practice, where the psychotherapist is aware of their own position and the dynamics of the relationship with the client.
  • Collaboration and Openness: We value constructive dialogue, active listening, and reciprocal exchange of ideas, promoting an open and collaborative therapeutic community that supports continuous professional development and knowledge integration.
  • Equity: We support equal and respectful treatment, actively discouraging discrimination of any form, including racism, sexism, and other social inequalities, to uphold every person’s right to individuality and respect.
  • Innovation and Adaptability: We are dedicated to maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of our practices through constant innovation and adaptation to developments in the field of psychology and psychotherapy, to respond to the dynamic needs of clients and society.

Through these fundamental elements, ARPI aims to create and maintain a reference model in the field of integrative psychotherapy in Romania, shaping a vision in which each person is seen and treated as a multidimensional whole.
