”Hi My name is Karen and I am a qualified Teacher, Social Worker, Accredited BACP Counsellor and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. I have been practising since 1991, formally working in a G.P. practice and as a Stress Counsellor for the local authority. My main role now is Director and Trainer at TACT.
I am a representative on the Psychotherapeutic Counselling College of UKCP, and a member of the UKCP’s Children’s Foundations Standards Working Party. I was the former Treasurer and Registrar of EIATSCYP.
I am the lead trainer on the Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with Children at TACT and provide supervision for adult and child work. My approach is Integrative, working with both children and adults..My areas of specialisation include:- Play Therapy for Children, Personal Counselling, Family Work, Personal Growth Therapy, Stress,Trauma, Abuse, Attachment, Adoption Issues, Bereavement, Relationship Problems and Sexual Orientation.”
